Increase Traffic with High-Quality Content Marketing

As business owners with more to juggle than a circus clown, marketing strategies are often compromised. The truth is that without a robust marketing platform, most companies barely stand a chance these days. If your company isn't found in a basic Google search, if your business doesn't show up on Thumbtack, and if your blogs aren't current with relevant news and information, most prospective clients won't even give you a second glance.

Business2Community likens poor marketing to fast food, and great marketing to the booming casual-dining phenomenon. And just as busy families are now reaching out for the healthier and more satiating options which are made of better ingredients, clever marketing strategies must now operate on those same basic principles of including substantial content, in order to be successful

The most effective ways to keep your site ranked in Google are the solutions that combine content-rich material with fact-based information and relevant links. Simply put, companies that focus on quality content marketing and that avoid quick and generic information are awarded with a loyal audience and more traffic.

HOW TO GENERATE HIGH-QUALITY CONTENT

Generating high-quality content may not be as easy as it sounds. There are, however, several straight-forward steps and some important key factors that will help you produce high-quality content.

  • Ensure Accuracy: It's worth the time and energy to compile relevant data, and to report factual information. You want to become a resource on which other companies in your industry rely. Forbes reports, "Getting high-quality links tells Google and other search engines two things; 1) your website is worth linking to, and 2) what you are saying is likely to be factually accurate." If other companies are citing you and linking to your data, their readership is now yours as well. When other companies cite you and trust you, Google will trust you, too.
  • Conduct Research: Articles supported by research and data will lend a concrete and credible foundation to your material. Keeping the research and data relevant will ensure satisfaction among loyal followers, while inviting new readers to your platform. Conducting your own research is a solid way to ensure that your content is original and unique.
  • Earn Publicity: A robust marketing strategy which includes unique content will result in linking and sharing and perhaps even going viral. Typically, once your material has reached the stage of going viral, other publications will take notice. Having your story or data published in a major magazine or well-circulated blog will greatly increase site traffic and boost your notoriety among those in your industry.
  • Link To Quality Sources: Linking to other quality sources can be as important as becoming a quality source yourself. Linking to weak sources is a direct reflection of your own credibility. Never link to information you don't trust. Additionally, citing others can increase the circulation of your own content.
  • Develop A Loyal Readership: By providing research-based data, links to quality sites and relevant content, your site will develop a loyal audience that looks to you as an authority. Encourage your audience to interact through comments, by asking questions and by voicing their concerns. Regularly engage your audience by starting a conversation about current affairs in your industry, and by starting a discussion on new articles.
  • Create Rich Content: Circulate material, perspectives, and types of data to transform your company's website into a hub for interesting information. Allow shifting perspectives by inviting guest writers to your platform, by conducting and running interviews, and by citing trusted outside sources in your articles.
